Written safety plans describing the safe work practices and procedures to be practiced in all work places are an essential element of the overall work place safety program. All projects have a site specific safety plan, designed to meet our clients, OSHA, BWC and AISC standards.
J & B Steel's commitment to safety has allowed us to achieve an EMR rate of .27 for 2007 and an average of .26 over the past three years, well below the industry average. Allied Construction Industries awarded J & B Steel with three awards for 2006: 100% No Lost Work Days, Achievement and Lowest Incident Rate per Group. In addition, one of our General Foremen was recognized by Allied Construction Industries as one of the 2007 Safety Employees of the Year for his commitment to safety.
We are also certified as a Drug Free Workplace by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. A copy of our safety policies and procedures manual is available upon request.
